Speaker Bio
Alice Wilson delivers visually rich presentations with storytelling about the American West. She has a focus (no pun intended!) on 19th and 20th century photography and uses an interdisciplinary approach that weaves art, literature, and historical context into her talks.
Alice has been honored as a five-time recipient of 'Club 6' for engaged teaching at the University of California, Berkeley, holds a masters degree from Stanford University where her thesis focused on Carleton Watkins, and has extensive training in visual learning techniques from San Francisco's Museum of Modern Art.
She has presented for the California State Parks Sierra Speaker Series, the GateKeepers Museum in Tahoe City, California, The Tahoe Lakefront Owners' Association and the Association of Graduate Liberal Studies Program, and other organizations interested in the spectacular American West.
